My passion for goats has been here my whole life, but my family had no land, so it was never an option to purchase livestock. In 2019 we moved to a family property with 11 acres to build a house of our own. In the summer of 2022, I soon realized we could now own goats. I spent all summer researching and convincing my parents. Come August, 2022, I bought my first goats! Gertrude and Rusty soon became a part of the family. After a lot of hard work, the next summer, I showed Gertie at the 2023 county fair as a dry yearling doe. She placed first and I placed reserve champion in dairy goat intermediate showmanship! My family then realized my love for goats was much stronger than it seemed. So I began starting our farm. First with more additions to the herd, social media, and now a website.
Our farm name comes from a creek that runs along our property. I found this to be the perfect inspiration, now "Fir Clearing Farm" has come to life.
Along with Nigerian Dwarfs we also raise and show quality Boer goats and a yearly market goat to auction off and show at jackpots.
